A/Prof Gregory Katsoulotos completed his advanced training in adult Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at St George Hospitals in Sydney. He later completed a PhD in the immunology of asthma at UNSW and further allergy studies at the University of Western Sydney. He treats all aspects of respiratory disease and sleep medicine (check-ups for obstructive sleep apneoa) and has special interests in the management of asthma, particularly severe asthma and the use of new severe asthma treatments. He has developed special interests and access to multi-disciplinary assessment and management of complex situations as one of Australia’s largest and busiest severe asthma centres working in the private space, servicing not only Sydney but rural areas of NSW. He is fluent in English and Greek.
In 2019 A/Prof Katsoulotos was appointed to The Australasian Severe Asthma Registry (ASAR) Management Committee of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ). He is also a member of The Quality Use of Respiratory Medicines Group at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and member of the Guidelines Committee of the National Asthma Council of Australia which produces the Australian Asthma Handbook. He is also affiliated with Notre Dame University School of Medicine and The Univerisity of Technology, Sydney.
Greg has wide experience in general respiratory and sleep disorders and in the severe asthma space with the use of biological agentsl. He chairs several Severe Asthma multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meeting groups, consisting of different specialties and allied health professionals. He also now runs clinics aimed at sorting out complex airways situations.
He is also a VMO Respiratory Physician at St Vincent’s Private, St George Private and Kareena Private Hospitals. He consults in Darlinghurst, Kogarah and Miranda, NSW.
