Many airway conditions do not fit neatly into a single specialty. Chronic cough, unexplained shortness of breath, severe asthma, sinus disease, voice disorders and reflux-related symptoms often involve the nose, throat, lungs and upper digestive tract together.
A/Prof Greg Katsoulotos leads a specialised Multi-Disciplinary Airway Assessment Clinic that brings together experts from across these areas to provide a coordinated approach to diagnosis and treatment.
Working alongside ENT Surgeons, Speech Pathologists, Respiratory Surgeons and Reflux Specialists, he helps patients with complex airway problems receive a comprehensive assessment and a unified management plan.
A/Prof Greg Katsoulotos chairs multidisciplinary airway meetings involving specialists from across Australia, helping clinicians review complex cases and develop collaborative treatment strategies based on collective expertise.

Why a Multidisciplinary Approach?
Research from United Airways Clinic models has demonstrated high patient satisfaction and improved coordination of care for patients with complex airway conditions.
By considering the entire airway as one connected system, we can better identify contributing factors and develop more effective treatment strategies.
A collaborative approach to complex airway care, centred around the patient.
